Privacy Policy
What information Radar collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Last updated June 2026.
Radar ("Radar", "we", "us") operates a platform to digitize, organize, monitor, and share aircraft maintenance records and related collateral information. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights and choices you have. It applies to useradar.com, app.useradar.com, and our related services (the "Service").
Who we are
The Service is operated by RadarDB, LLC. If you access Radar through an organization (for example your employer, an operator, or a lending partner), that organization administers your account and is responsible for its own use of the Service.
Information we collect
Information you provide
Account and profile details: name, email, company, role, and password.
Records and content you upload: logbooks, manuals, STCs, FAA documents, work orders, photos, and the structured data we extract from them.
Communications: messages you send to support or sales, or through the product.
Billing details: processed by our payment provider. We receive limited transaction data, not full card numbers.
Information we collect automatically
Usage and device data: features used, actions taken, IP address, browser and device type, and timestamps.
Cookies and similar technologies: used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure and improve the Service.
Information from others
If an administrator invites you, we receive your contact details from your organization.
When you share or receive records (for example with a vendor, appraiser, auditor, or bank), we process the records exchanged at your direction.
How we use information
We use information to:
Provide, operate, and secure the Service, including digitizing records with machine extraction followed by human review.
Authenticate users and protect against fraud and abuse.
Respond to your requests and provide support.
Maintain, analyze, and improve the Service and develop new features.
Send service and transactional messages, and, where permitted, product updates you can opt out of.
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the records you upload to train models for other customers.
Legal bases (EEA and UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data to perform our contract with you, for our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, to comply with legal obligations, and with your consent where required (for example certain cookies or marketing).
How we share information
Service providers (subprocessors): cloud hosting, infrastructure, analytics, communications, and payment providers that process data on our behalf under confidentiality and data-protection terms. See Compliance for categories.
At your direction: records and reports you choose to share with vendors, appraisers, auditors, banks, or other parties.
Within your organization: administrators and authorized users on your account, scoped by role.
Legal and safety: where required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the Service and optional analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser. Disabling some may affect functionality.
Data retention
We retain account and record data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We delete or anonymize data on request where we are not required to retain it. Because aircraft records often must be preserved for the life of the aircraft, your organization controls the retention of its records.
Security
We encrypt data in transit and at rest, apply least-privilege and role-based access controls, and preserve original documents alongside extracted records. See Security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
We operate in the United States and may process data there and in other countries. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. California residents may request to know, delete, and correct personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA and CPRA.
To exercise a right, email privacy@useradar.com. We will verify and respond as required by law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Where Radar processes data on behalf of your organization, we will refer your request to that organization.
Children's privacy
The Service is for business use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
